OVERVIEW
Brunswick County is soliciting sealed bids for the purchase of one (1) 30-ton crane truck from qualified vendors in accordance with the specifications contained herein.
The crane truck shall be the latest model year available, equipped as specified, and include a comprehensive manufacturer’s warranty covering the chassis, crane, and associated components for a minimum of one (1) year. All warranties shall include parts and labor, and warranty service shall be available within the State of North Carolina.
Any changes to the specifications herein will be made in the form of an Addendum to this Invitation to Bid and will be supplied to all known prospective bidders and posted on the Brunswick County website. Notwithstanding the foregoing, bidders will be responsible for ensuring that they have all addenda. Brunswick County may negotiate and refine final specifications with the selected bidder.
MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS
Vendor shall furnish, warrant, and deliver one (1) new and complete crane truck meeting the following minimum specifications:

Chassis: New model year with diesel engine with automatic transmission (include anticipated lead time for delivery of unit)

Wheelbase: 270” Axle: Front-Single; Rear-Tandem

Cab: Standard single cab with air conditioning

Crane: 100’-110’ four-section Hydraulic telescopic

Crane Mounting: Standard mount-behind cab pedestal with swept back turret, rotation bearing, and swing system

Front Outriggers: A-frame link type with at least 22’ spread width

Front Center Stabilizer and mounting with control valve

Bed: 21’ Steel HH Bed (length) 102” (width)

Rear Stabilizers: H-frame, out and down with at least 13’ spread width

Boom Rotation: minimum requirement is 372 non-continuous degrees of rotation

Boom Head: 3-load sheeve quick reeve

Boom length and angle indicators

Bubble leveler at crane controls

Hook and Ball: 7 US ton minimum

Dual operator control stations

2-speed hoist with grooved drum

Sealed bids must be received no later than October 10, 2025, at 3:00 pm ET, at which time they will be opened publicly and read aloud at the Brunswick County Public Utilities Operations Center located at 250 Grey Water Road in Supply, NC 28462. Brunswick County will not be responsible for the failure of any mail or delivery service to deliver a bid prior to the stated date and time. Sealed bids shall be labeled with the name of the Invitation to Bid and marked “SEALED BID, DO NOT OPEN-Utilities 30-Ton Crane Truck.” Regardless of the manner of submission, any bid received after the stated date and time will not be considered. Incomplete bids or bids inconsistent with the required format may be disqualified from consideration.
