The Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia, Owner, will receive sealed bids from contractors electronically via the Jaggaer Sourcing Director online bidding tool. Electronic bids must be submitted, by 2:00 PM Legally Prevailing Time in Athens, Georgia on Thursday, October 23, 2025 for the construction of 204308138 UGA Skidaway Institute of Oceanography Seawall Bulkhead Repair located at 10 Ocean Circle Drive, Savannah, GA 31411. Public Bid Opening Information is in Buyer Attachments.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORK:Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and services required to perform and complete the Seawall Bulkhead Repair. All work shall be executed in full compliance with the contract drawings titled ¿Drawings_25-1022 IFC UGA SKIO Bulkhead 08-22-25.¿
Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond executed by the bidder and surety company authorized to transact business in the State of Georgia, in the sum of not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the base bid. Said bond will be returned to unsuccessful bidders as soon as the Contract between the Owner and the successful bidder has been executed by the Owner.
MANDATORY SITE VISIT:  There will be a pre-bid conference held on Thursday, September, 25, 2025 beginning at 10:00 a.m., at UGA Skidaway Institute of Oceanography, 10 Ocean Science Circle, Savannah, GA 31411. Attendance at this conference is MANDATORY for any General Contractor intending to bid on this project. All prospective bidders shall have a representative to attend and participate in a tour of the work site conducted by the Owner¿s Representative. Failure to attend the mandatory site visit is basis for rejection of bid. Sub-Contractors and others may attend if they so desire.
