| Project Title: | ITB:TWAS to ATAD Drill |
| Description: | Brunswick County is soliciting informal bids from qualified contractors for the installation of approximately twenty (20) linear feet of 6-inch PVC C900 waterline via horizontal directional drilling (HDD) or Bore and Jack beneath an existing building wall and into a below-grade dry well at an approximate depth of six (6) feet. The location for this project is 235 Grey Water Road, Supply, NC 28462. The work includes coring through an approximately 12-inch-thick concrete foundation wall and sealing the penetration using a LINK-SEAL® Modular Seal, Pipetite® Wall Boot, or approved equal to prevent water intrusion and maintain structural integrity. The 6-inch PVC C900 may be installed in a ½” thick, minimum 10-inch steel casing pipe with casing spacers and end seals, or alternately, as 6-inch HDPE installed without casing, provided that the wall seal system is appropriately rated and approved by the County. On the exterior side of the wall, the contractor shall connect the new 6-inch line to the existing pipe using a 6” to 6” mechanical sleeve, backfill and compact the trench per County standards to a condition ready for pavement restoration, and restore all disturbed surfaces and pavement to their original or better condition. All materials, installation methods, and testing shall comply with Brunswick County’s Technical Specifications and Standard Details. Any changes to the specifications or Scope of Work contained herein will be made in the form of an Addendum to this Invitation to Bid and will be supplied to all known prospective bidders and posted on the Brunswick County website. Notwithstanding the foregoing, bidders will be responsible for ensuring that they have all addenda. Brunswick County may negotiate and refine final specifications and Scope of Work with the selected bidder. For full bid information: https://www.brunswickcountync.gov/bids.aspx |
