Solicitation Summary
This is a cooperative Invitation to Bid (ITB) issued by the St. Mary’s County Board of Education for St. Mary’s County Public Schools (SMCPS) on behalf of Calvert, Charles and St. Mary’s County Governments and Boards
of Education, referenced hereafter as the Southern Maryland Cooperative Purchasing Committee (SMCPC).
The purpose of this ITB is to solicit bids from experienced and qualified Contractors to supply and deliver Propane Gas (also known as Liquefied Petroleum – LP – Gas) to public buildings, schools and centers on an
automatic delivery schedule or on an on-call delivery schedule as determined by participating SMCPC members. The successful Contractor shall provide qualified, skilled service technicians to repair and maintain propane gas equipment on an as-needed basis. Supply and delivery sites are identified in
Attachment A for all SMCPC locations.

Additional Instructions
Price per gallon will be calculated based on the official Oil Price Information Service (OPIS) Propane Daily, 10AM Daily Report for the TEPPCO Terminal in Dubois PA using Rack Average Pricing. The awarded Contractor will be required to furnish documentation to each participating jurisdiction on a daily basis to
include the official OPIS price, no later than 12 noon of each day.
