ITB24-008 NPR RECREATION & AQUATIC CENTER LOCKER ROOM
RENOVATION PROJECT
Sealed proposals for the construction of NPR Recreation & Aquatic Center Locker Room Renovation Project,
addressed to the City of New Port Richey, City Clerk's Office, 5919 Main Street, New Port Richey, Florida
34652, will be received at the City Clerk’s Office until 2:00 p.m., local time, on the January 18, 2024. Any
bids received after the time and date specified will not be considered. .Each Bid must be submitted, in
triplicate, on the proposal forms with the proposer's name, complete address, and "ITB24-008 NPR
RECREATION & AQUATIC CENTER LOCKER ROOM RENOVATION PROJECT" clearly marked on the
outside of the envelope.
A bid opening will be held promptly at 2:00 p.m., local time, on the January 19, 2024 in the City of New Port
Richey Council Chambers, City Hall, 5919 Main Street, New Port Richey, Florida 34652, at which time the
proposals will be publicly opened and read.
The project contemplated involves construction of improvements consisting of the following major
components:
• Operations of the existing NPR Recreation and Aquatic Center to continue during construction un-
interrupted.
• Renovation of existing Men’s, Women’s, and Family Locker Rooms including flooring, wall tile, wall
and ceiling paint, replacing restroom accessories and select fixtures.
• Coordinate and assist with connections of relocated accessories and replaced fixtures.
• Sequence of Construction requires the renovation of one locker room at a time. Either starting or
ending with the Family Lockers to accommodate two (2) operational locker rooms throughout
construction.
A pre-bid conference will NOT be held. Any questions regarding this Invitation to Bid must be e-mailed and
received by 2:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Responses will be issued via e-mail no later than 5:00 p.m. on
January 12, 2024. All e-mail correspondence shall be sent to Kelsi Thrasher (kelsi@wjarc.com).
Drawings and specifications may be examined at the City of New Port Richey Recreation and Aquatic Center
6630 Van Buren Street, New Port Richey, FL 34653. To assure that Bidders receive all addenda and or
clarifications to the Bid Documents in a timely manner, it is mandatory that all bidders obtain at least one
set of Bid Documents from the architect to be eligible to bid on this project. Drawings and Bid Documents
may be obtained for a fee. E-mail Kelsi Thrasher (kelsi@wjarc.com) for further details to obtain a set of
Contract Document.
Each bid must be accompanied by Bid security on the prescribed form, payable to the City of New Port
Richey, in an amount not less than 5 percent of the base bid amount.
The successful Bidder will be required to furnish the necessary additional bond(s) for the faithful
performance of the Contract, as prescribed in the Contract Documents.
All Bid Bonds, Contract Bonds, Insurance Contracts and Certificates of Insurance shall be either executed
by or countersigned by a licensed resident agent of the surety or insurance company having his/her place
of business in the State of Florida. Further, the said surety or insurance company shall be duly licensed and
qualified to do business in the State of Florida.
Insurance coverage is required for this project. Prior to contract signing, the contractor must furnish
Certificates of General Liability, Vehicle Liability, and Workman's Compensation insurance in amounts not
less than $1,000,000 to the City. All insurance coverage shall be written by companies licensed to do
business in Florida and shall be administered by a Florida registered agent. In order to perform public work,
the successful Bidder shall, as applicable, hold or obtain such Contractors' and Business Licenses as
required by state statues. The right is reserved to reject all Proposals or any Proposal not conforming to
the intent and purpose of the Contract Documents, and to postpone the award of the Contract for a period
of time, which, however, shall not extend beyond 120 days from the Proposal opening date.
In order to perform public work, the successful Bidder shall, as applicable, hold or obtain such Contractors'
and Business Licenses as required by Florida state statues and City requirements.
