To All Prospective Bidders:
Questions and answers for ITB No. 26-1006 Bee Creek Road Improvements are below.
Question No. 1 - Please confirm if we are to follow Project Specification COA 340 dated
11/22/95. This specification was replaced by 340S (4-4-12) and is attached for reference; and
340S (4-4-12) was replaced by Item No. 340 3-20-24 (we have attached a copy for reference).
Can you confirm which specification you would like to use?
Answer: Please use specification 340S
Question No. 2 - Please confirm which Asphalt Binder Grade is required for the Type-C
Surface Course Mix (PG64-22,PG70-22,PG76-22)? This can depend on what specification is
utilized. The COA default binder is PG64-22 for older specifications & the New COA Spec is
based on Roadway Classification for the new Item 340 dated 3-20-24 (Arterials & Collectors
with Bus Traffic Use PG76-22, and Collectors without Bus Traffic & Residential Use PG64-
22 so the city would define the street classification for Bee Creek Road).
Answer: PG76-22
Question No. 3 - Can you clarify what is required for the Concrete Repair Bid Item #4 shown
on the bid form, we didn't see a plan or any details on what needs to be repaired? There are
no plans or details. The only details would be 4" thick with #3 Rebar and 5500 psi concrete.
Answer: There are no plans or details. The only details would be 4" thick with #3 Rebar and 5500
psi concrete. This is a remove and replace. We will mark the area in white paint.
Question No. 4 - For public work notification, we would recommend the use of 2 PCMS set
a week prior to starting roadway work. Does the City of Lakeway have any Portable
Changeable Message Signs to dedicate to the project? If not, will the contractor be required
to provide 2 PCMS Units?
Answer: The City will provide the PCM's
