ITB NFHWY00862 Chena Lake Recreation Area Bicycle and Pedestrian Access (FAST)

Sealed bids for furnishing all labor, materials, equipment and performing all work on Project No. 0002542/NFHWY00862, Chena Lake Recreation Area Bicycle and Pedestrian Access (FAST), described herein, will be received until 2:00 p.m. prevailing time, April 21, 2026, in the Office of the Contracts Engineer, Engineering Services Building, Room 3, 2301 Peger Road, Fairbanks, Alaska.

The project consists of paving and extending Plack Road from Nelson Road intersection past Gordon Road intersection, constructing new parking pad, and constructing a pedestrian/bicycle path. Project will include drainage work, intersection improvements, and roadside hardware.

Engineer's Estimate is between $2,500,000 and $5,000,000.

The project completion date is October 31, 2026.

Plans, specs, bid documents, reports, addenda and other bidder information are posted online, available for downloading free of charge at: https://ui.bidx.com/ALASKA/lettings .

Hard copies of plans & specifications are still available from the Contracts Section, Department of Transportation & Public Facilities, Engineering Services Building, Room 3, 2301 Peger Road, Fairbanks, Alaska 99709, telephone number: 907-451-2247; TDD: 711 or 1-800-770-8973 (for Hearing Impaired, requires special equipment).  There is a non-refundable charge of $100, per set.  Check or money order must be made payable to:  State of Alaska.

Bidding documents are available for inspection at the DOT&PF regional office in Fairbanks.
