ITB Design-Bid-Build OUA-18-006 Burton 4-H Center Dock Replacement

The Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia, Owner, will receive sealed bids from contractors electronically via the Jaggaer Sourcing Director online bidding tool (preferred), or in hard copy in Room #301, University of Georgia Procurement Office, Business Services Building, 424 East Broad Street, Athens, Georgia 30602.  Hard copy bids must be physically time stamped and turned in, and electronic bids must be submitted, by [2:00PM] Legally Prevailing Time in Athens, Georgia on November 25, 2024 for the construction of: "OUA-18-006, BURTON 4-H DOCK REPLACEMENT," bid number 51800-eRFQ-000001246-2025 for the University of Georgia BURTON 4-H CENTER, TYBEE ISLAND, Georgia. At the time and place noted above, the bids will be publicly opened and announced.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
Furnish & install complete all labor, material & equipment as required for the work which includes the construction of an approximately 173 linear foot dock, observation platforms, gangway, and floating dock, and the subsequent demolition of a portion of the existing dock. All work as described on contract drawings entitled ¿Burton 4H Center Dock Project.¿
PRE-QUALIFICATION CERTIFICATION:
All prospective bidders shall submit the STATEMENT OF BIDDER'S QUALIFICATIONS to UGA Procurement Office. A PDF via email shall be submitted to Emily Salvia: emily.riley@uga.edu . All submissions are due no later than 2:00 p.m. on October 31, 2024. The certification of qualified firms will be performed by a committee consisting of representatives of the User, the Office of University Architects and the UGA Procurement Office. Firms will receive notification of eligibility by email from the UGA Procurement Office and eligible firms shall attend the mandatory site visit listed below. This process is not intended to limit competition nor does it seek to pre-qualify subcontractors or suppliers. Pre-qualification will be made on a pass/fail basis.
MANDATORY SITE VISIT:
There will be a pre-bid conference held on Monday, November 4, 2024 beginning at 10:00 a.m., at the existing dock of the Burton 4-H Center, 9 Lewis Ave., Tybee Island, GA 31328.
