INVITATION TO BID
Airport Drainage Improvements
Douglas Municipal Airport
Sealed proposals will be received by the City of Douglas, Georgia, until 2:00 P.M. EDT on
Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at
the Department of Community Development, 302 South Madison Avenue, Douglas,
Georgia 31533, for the purchase of the following:
"Airport Drainage Improvements - AP025-9058-41(069)"
The project will mitigate existing drainage issues at the Douglas Municipal Airport. The work
will generally include regrading throughout the airfield and replacement of drainage structures
and pipes. Construction elements will include phasing, demolition, grading and drainage
improvements, and erosion control.
A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on Friday, March 27, 2026, at 11:00 A.M.
EDT at the City of Douglas, Department of Community Development, 302 South Madison
Avenue, Douglas, Georgia 31533. A virtual option will be available to all plan holders.
Bidders shall inform themselves concerning Georgia laws and comply with same. Each bid must
be accompanied by a bid bond in an amount equivalent to five percent (5%) of the total bid
amount. Performance and payment bonds will be required of the successful bidder.

All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope and addressed to Georgia Henderson,
Community Development Director, City of Douglas, Department of Community
Development, 302 South Madison Avenue, Douglas, Georgia 31533, and plainly marked with
the notation "BID ENCLOSED for Airport Drainage Improvements". Proposals received
after the designated time will not be considered.

The City of Douglas reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive
technicalities or irregularities in the bidding process in the best interest of the City.
