Irwin County- Storm Generated Debris Removal on State Route 158, Daffodil Road, and Satilla Road

Separate, sealed Bids will be received for furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and incidentals necessary for the storm generated debris removal at GA Hwy 158, Daffodil Road, and Satilla Road at Willacoochee River until 10:00am (local-time) Monday, January 19, 2026 at which time bids will be opened and read.

The meeting will be held at the Irwin County Board of Commissioners¿ Office and will be open to the public. Proposals can be mailed to the attention of Patricia Battle, County Clerk, Irwin County Board of Commissioners, 225 East 4th Street , Ocilla, Georgia 31774. Proposals received after the designated time will not be considered. Irwin County may select a successful low bidder after evaluation of all bids.

The Scope of Work Includes:
Storm generated debris removal at GA Hwy 158, Daffodil Road, and Satilla Road at Willacoochee River

All proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in favor of Irwin County in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the lump sum bid for the complete work: such Bid Bond representing that the Bidder, if awarded a Contract, will promptly enter into a Contract and furnish Performance Bond and Payment Bonds as provided by the law and approved by the Attorney for Irwin County. Performance Bond shall be equal to 100 Percent (100%) of the contract amount and Payment Bond shall be equal to 100 percent (100%) of the Contract amount.

The Bid Bond shall be forfeited to Irwin County, Georgia as liquidated damages if the Bidder fails to execute the Contract and provide Performance and Payment Bonds within (10) days after being notified that he has been awarded the Contract.

Notice to Proceed will be given to the awarded contractor for work to begin on January 20, 2026. All work on the project must be completed by February 6, 2026.
