Description:

The Town of Agawam is seeking quotes for furnishing materials and performing installation services for a new irrigation system at Agawam Junior High School Field, located at 1305 Springfield Street, Agawam, MA 01001, in accordance with the accompanying specifications. The project shall begin immediately upon Notice of Award and Notice to Proceed which is expected to occur June 1, 2026 contingent on funding approval.  Project shall be substantially complete by June 30, 2026.

The project will consist of furnishing and installing approximately 65 sprinkler heads, 1-inch valves and a 11-zone controller, as described in the attached specifications.

Quotes should be mailed or emailed to Jennifer Bonfiglio, Chief Procurement Officer, 36 Main Street, Agawam, MA   01001, Email: For security reasons, you must enable JavaScript to view this E-mail address. , and received no later than 2:30 PM April 8, 2026.   All quotes must be endorsed with the name and business address of the Proposer and marked "Project # 26-450-002 Irrigation System Installation at Agawam Junior High School Field".

All contractors should submit pricing using the Form for Quote. The contractor must complete the non-collusion and tax-compliance form. The contract will be awarded to the most responsive contractor with the lowest quote. The person awarded the contract will be required to sign the Town’s Owner Contractor Agreement.

Questions concerning this RFQ should be directed, in writing, to Jennifer Bonfiglio, Chief Procurement Officer no later than the end of the business day April 3, 2026

A 50% Payment Bond will be required of the successful bidder for any contract over $25,000. Attorney-in-fact who signs Bid Bonds or Payment Bonds and Performance Bonds must file with the Bond a certified and effective dated copy of their power of attorney.

Proposals are subject to M.G.L. c.149 sec.44A(2)(A) and to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.l49 §§26 to 27H inclusive.

The Town of Agawam reserves the right to reject any or all of the quotes if it deems it to be in the public interest to so do.
