Project Name: Water Street Sewer Replacement

Project Description: The project includes extending the City’s existing Monroe Lift Station force main by approximately 1,850 linear feet via horizontal directional drilling and open-cut and replacing approximately 1,830 linear feet of existing gravity sewer main via sliplining along Water Street. The work also includes traffic control, temporary sewer bypasses, manhole rehabilitations, side sewer reinstatements, abandonment, restoration and coordination with the City for construction sequencing. Schedule: The project must be completed within 80 working days.

Bid Deadline: Sealed bids will be received by the City of Port Townsend, at the Front Desk located at City of Port Townsend City Hall, 250 Madison Street, Suite 1, Port Townsend, WA 98368, until 2:00 PM local time, on November 13 , 2024, Proposals received after the time fixed for opening will not be considered. The City of Port Townsend reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities in the bid or in the bid opening.

Each bid shall be in accordance with the Plans, Specifications, and Contract Documents which are on file and may be examined at the City of Port Townsend City Hall, 250 Madison Street, Suite 1, Port Townsend, WA 98368.

No bidder may withdraw their proposal after the hours set for the opening thereof, or before award of contract, unless said award is delayed for a period exceeding sixty (60) calendar days.

Bid Bond: All Bid Proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid Proposal deposit in surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such Bid proposal. Should the successful Bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory bonds to perform the Work within the time states in the Specifications, the Bid Proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Port Townsend.

Bid Documents: Plans, specifications, addenda, and plan holders list for this project will be available on-line through Builders Exchange of Washington, Inc. at http://www.bxwa.com . Click on "Posted Projects", "Public Works", "City of Port Townsend", "Projects Bidding", and “Project Bid Date”. Bidders must “Register as a Bidder”, in order to receive automatic e-mail notification of future addenda and to be placed on the “Bidders List”.
