Invitation to Bid: WASHINGTON STREET AND WALKER STREET SIDEWALK

Project Description:

The Contract includes, but is not limited to, the following work: traffic control; removal of existing
sidewalk and asphalt pavement; roadway excavation with placement of crushed surfacing;
construction of cement concrete curb and sidewalk; installation of ADA-compliant curb ramps;
installation of gravity block wall; installation and adjustment of catch basins; installation of
permanent pavement markings; relocation of existing sign; restoration of disturbed areas; and all
incidental work necessary to complete the sidewalk improvements on Washington Street and
Walker Street in accordance with the attached Contract Plans, these Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications.

Title VI Statement:

The City of Port Townsend, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act
of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and associated Regulations, hereby notifies
all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this
advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity
to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the
grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
