INVITATION TO BID

The City of Sallisaw will accept sealed bids until 2:00 p.m., April 17, 2025, on the following real property:

408 S. Elm St; more specifically described as: Lot 5, Block 58, Original Town of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, and the Northeasterly five (5) feet of Lot 6, Block 58, Town of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, more particularly described as beginning at the Northwesterly Corner of Lot 6, Thence Southeasterly 140 feet; Thence Southwesterly 5 feet; Thence Northwesterly 140 Feet; Thence Northeasterly five (5) feet to the point of beginning.

*Property is offered as-is, meaning bidders are offering to purchase the property in whatever condition it presently exists, and it is the bidder’s responsibility to confirm that the property can be utilized in the manner that the bidder desires prior to bidding.

Bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope with the words “SEALED BID – 408 S. ELM ” on the front.  Bids will be accepted in the City Clerk’s Office, located at City Hall, 115 East Choctaw, Sallisaw, Oklahoma, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. If mailing bids, bidders shall mail them to the attention of the City Clerk, City of Sallisaw, PO Box 525, Sallisaw, Oklahoma, 74955. Bids received after the time set for opening will not be considered and will be returned unopened.  Each bidder is responsible for ensuring their bid is received by the date and time set for the opening of bids. Bids will be opened in the office of the City Clerk after the deadline for acceptance.

Bidders should note that the City of Sallisaw will not provide an abstract for this property. Minimum bid is set at $1,500.00. Property will be conveyed by a quit claim deed to the successful bidder after approval by the Board of City Commissioners.

The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and accept the one which is most advantageous to the City.
