INVITATION TO BID for clearing and grubbing of Lowes Lane rights-of-way north of US60

SEALED BIDS for clearing and grubbing of Lowes Lane rights-of-way north of US60 will be received by the City of Monett, City Hall, 217 5th Street, Monett, Missouri 65708 until 2:00 p.m. prevailing local time, February 20, 2026, and then publicly opened and read aloud at the City of Monett, City Hall, 217 5th Street, Monett, MO 65708.

The proposed work and scope includes: Clearing and grubbing of existing Lowes Lane rights-of-way north of US60 in Monett, MO. All vegetation and wooden structure shall be taken down to the ground, including removal of stumps. The cleared area shall be smooth graded. Debris may be controlled burned, subject to suitable weather and approval by Monett Fire Chief. Unsuitable debris shall be hauled off site and deposited at an approved location. Adjacent City utilities shall be preserved and protected during operations. A drawing showing location of project is attached with this invitation. The project RW limits are field staked. The work shall be substantially completed on or before March 27, 2026, with a final completion by May 1, 2026. The bidder shall submit a Lump Sum, not to exceed, signed and dated bid on Bidders letterhead. It is anticipated that the Notice to Proceed will be issued by February 27, 2026. Applicable insurance requirements are found in the City standard construction specifications listed on the City website and shall be filed with the city prior to proceeding with the work.
