INVITATION FOR BIDS

LMP PHASE I SITE IMPROVEMENTS

The Brockton Area Transit Authority (BAT) is soliciting bids from qualified firms to provide all equipment, materials and labor to improve sidewalks and crosswalks surrounding the BAT Administration building and connecting pedestrians to the BAT Center as described in the bid solicitation documents.

Bid documents are available for viewing and copies may be obtained at no charge at the following location during regular business hours:

Requests for bid documents may be mailed to the above address or by email at jmech@ridebat.com.

A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at 1:00PM on November 11, 2025 at the BAT Administration offices at 155 Court Street, Brockton, MA 02302.  A project site tour and inspection will follow.

All bids must be sealed and submitted in accordance with the bid documents at the BAT Administrative Office, 155 Court St., Brockton, MA 02302 by 2:00 PM on December 17, 2025, whereupon all bids will be publicly opened and read consistent with M. G. L. c 149 Sec. 44B.  Bids must be submitted on the required forms and accompanied by the required certifications and a Bid Deposit equal to 5% of the bid amount. This solicitation is subject to M.G.L. c 149, Secs., 44A-H & J and Massachusetts Prevailing Wage and Federal Davis Bacon Wage Rates.

BAT may reject any bids when required to do so by the above referenced statute or waive any informality if it determines it to be in the public interest to do so.

The award of this contract is contingent on the availability of funds from the U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Transit Administration, and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.  Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) are encouraged to respond to this solicitation.
