Investigation and Possible Litigation for Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances

Project Description: Hillsborough County is soliciting for qualifications to engage a law firm to act as Outside Legal Counsel representing Hillsborough County (“the COUNTY”) in connection with an investigation and possible litigation involving the presence of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in the soil and water associated with firefighting operations at its firefighting training sites and in fire suppression activities. It is anticipated that one firm will be selected to act as Outside Legal Counsel consistent with the scope of this Request for Qualifications (RFQ), but the COUNTY reserves the right to award multiple contracts if deemed in the best interest of the COUNTY.
