Description: Stony Brook University Hospital is seeking the services of a company to provide Phyisician and Technical Support for neurological, orthopedic, vascular and cardiothoracic intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring during surgical procedures. Our standard is to have one (1) hour availability. Services include, but not limited to: Technical Support: Modalities used are SSEP, tcMEP, BAEP, etc. The requirements include, but are not limited to: 1) Technologists are required to perform IOM in accordance with the "National Competency Skill Standards for Performing IOM" set forth by the American Society of Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists, Inc., 2) Technologist's credentials in intraoperative monitoring must be provided upon request. CNIM credentials are also required upon request. 3) Technologist to provide the monitoring equipment and supplies, which must be inspected and approved by the Hospital Biomedical Equipment Department for patient safety in accordance with the applicable policies. Physician Support: Services under this Agreement shall be provided only by physicians who, throughout the term, are (i) duly licensed and in good standing to practice their healthcare profession in the State of New York; (ii) members of the medical staff with appropriate clinical privileges at the Hospital (including telehealth); (iii) board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, American Board of Anesthesiology or the American Board of Neurological Surgery (and in good standing and current on all applicable American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, American Board of Anesthesiology or the American Board of Neurological Surgery requirements for maintenance of certification/continuous certification); (iv) participating and in good standing in the Medicare and New York State Medicaid programs; and (v) continuously covered by professional liability insurance effective within the State of New York with coverage limits as may be required by law or by Hospital policy and which shall in no event be less than $1.3M per occurrence/$3.9M annual aggregate. Vendor is to provide monitoring for all SBUH cases when contacted. Emergent cases require support for on call plant to provide service 24/7/365. Support service must be able to respond within a one (1) hour response time.
