Intent to Sole Source - The American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) - Interactive Employee Training – Learning Suite (IET-LS)

The commodities or contractual services listed in the Background section of this Notice of Intent (NOI) is available only from a sole source and may be exempted from competitive solicitation requirements, as stated in the Sanford Airport Authority Procurement Policy adopted September 13, 2022. Unless a notice to the contrary with sufficient information is received from companies by the date indicated that can provide the same products, the Sanford Airport Authority shall proceed with the purchase of listed commodities or services on the basis that they are sole source to the provider listed and are exempted as defined by the Sanford Airport Authority Procurement Policy. ALTERNATE PRODUCTS OR SERVICES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

The Interactive Employee Training – Learning Suite (IET-LS) system is patented technology developed by AAAE. As a result, AAAE is the sole provider of the IET-LS software/hardware/system/service program. IET software updates are developed, issued, and installed only by AAAE. The use of other hardware or outside service or maintenance providers may void the IET warranty. AAAE retains all right, title, and interest under applicable contractual, copyright, intellectual property, and related laws to its pre-existing Intellectual Property, including the IET-LS system, the databases and information used to provide the products or services hereunder. The contracting party shall use such materials consistent with such right, title and interest and notify AAAE of any threatened or actual infringement thereof of which it becomes aware. All Intellectual Property newly developed in connection with the performance of these services including any additions, enhancements and modifications created by either party during the term of this Agreement shall be owned by AAAE.
