APEX Accelerators are an official government contracting resource for small businesses. Find your local APEX Accelerator (opens in new window) for free government expertise related to contract opportunities.
APEX Accelerators are funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the Department of Defense.
The APEX Accelerators program was formerly known as the Procurement Technical Assistance Program (opens in new window) (PTAP).
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a SOLE SOURCE JUSTIFICATION for firm fixed price purchase order to Texas A&M University (TAMU).
We propose to contract with Texas A&M Univeristy (TAMU), located in College Station, Texas, to provide a tool to be used by Tracking grant recipients to geocode a large number of diverse datasets to census tracts with a high degree of accuracy and a standard process. The vendor is expected to own the geocoding tool and not be a front-end interface for already existing independent tools. The requirement is in consistent with the Tracking Network that is part of CDC's National Environmental Public Health Tracking Program. The Tracking Program includes not only the Tracking Network but the people, resources, and program management involved in building this network. CDC's Environmental Public Health Tracking Network (Tracking Network) brings together health and environment data in one place, making it easier to compare hazards and exposures with health outcomes at a local and national level.
This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within fifteen (15) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
