Notice of Intent to Sole Source Current as Of (CAO) September 18, 2026

The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Base Support Branch (AFLCMC/PZIBA) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB), OH intends to award a sole source contract to:

CLIN 0001 Herman Miller, Canvas Office Landscape Stackable Panel System 4 Each

CLIN 0002 Herman Miller, TU Series, 3H Metal Double Door Storage Case 1 Each

CLIN 0003 Herman Miller, TU Series, 3H Metal Lateral File Storage Case 1 Each

CLIN 0004 Herman Miller, TU Series, 2H Metal Double Door Storage Case 2 Each

CLIN 0005 Design 1 Each

CLIN 0006 Installation 1 Each

The contract will be a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Commercial Purchase Order and carried out as a sole source action (not competitively awarded). This authority is supported by an approved Single Source Justification. The applicable NAICS code is 337214 Office Furniture (except Wood) Manufacturing. This NAICS code has a small business size standard of 1,100 employees.

The National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) requires four (4) additional workstations to attach to existing products in the space. That furniture is Herman Miller, Canvas Office Landscape: Wall Based. New furniture must be the same brand and series, to affix to existing product.

A Request for Information (RFI) was sent to MillerKnoll, which revealed that authorized dealers can only quote within their predetermined trading areas.

APG Office Furnishings Inc is the sole authorized government dealer of MillerKnoll for Herman Miller furniture in the Wright-Patterson AFB, OH area. However, due to a lack of Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level 1 certification, APG is unable to meet the government’s requirements at the time. Due to these circumstances, American Interiors Inc is the sole alternate government dealer for Herman Miller furniture authorized to quote and provide the government’s requirement.

THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS OR QUOTATIONS. No solicitation package will be issued. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. All responses received by 21 September 2026 at 12:00 PM EDT will be considered by the Government. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals/quotes. The Department of Defense (DoD) has determined the System for Award Management (SAM) to be the single DoD registration for contractors who conduct business or who are interested in conducting business with the DoD.
