6515--Intent to Sole Source Johnson & Johnson

The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 6, intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Johnson & Johnson to Durham VAMC. The Durham VA Health 508 Fulton St, Durham, NC has a Bio Sense requirement for their system includes Carto 3 system supplies. Justification for this sole source procurement is in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(2) soliciting from a single source. Scope of work Durham VA uses the Bio Sense Webster Smart Ablate Carto 3 System to perform EP (Electrophysiology) study to test the Hearts electrical system and to diagnose abnormal heartbeats or arrhythmia. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation documents are available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any business that believes it can meet these requirements and possesses relevant past experience and expertise may give written notice and proof is authorized distributor from Johnson & Johnson. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement. Responses will be considered by the Government, however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
