Intent to Sole Source Brand Name Only: Toyoda Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) Horizontal Machining Center

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE-SOURCE CONTRACT

Army Contracting Command – Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG), Tobyhanna Division, Tobyhanna, PA 18466 intends to award a sole source contract Alta Enterprises, INC, Cage Code, 4MR83, 2600 Saucon Valley RD Center Valley, Pennsylvania 18034.

This supply requirement is for one (1) Toyoda FH630SX-i Horizontal Machining Center (HMC) with Fanuc 31i control system The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 333517 with a size standard of 500 employees.

Alta Enterprises, INC is the only source and the only authorized reseller of Toyoda HMC machines in the Northeastern Pennsylvania region.

The Government intends to acquire this supply under the guidelines of FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions Procedures and FAR Part 12, Commercial Items. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate directly under the authority of 13.501(a)(1)(ii), sole source (including brand name) under the authority of the simplified procedures for certain commercial items.

This is not a solicitation for competitive quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested parties may submit information regarding their capability to perform this requirement with no negative impact to the Government regarding schedule, warranty, mark ups, etc. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
