INVITATION TO BID
Sussex County will receive sealed bids until 2:00 p.m. EDT, Wednesday, August 12, 2026, in
the Sussex County Administrative Office Building, 2 The Circle, Georgetown, Delaware 19947, at
which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud in Council Chambers for the following
project:
Integrated Vegetation Management Services
Sussex County Project A27-02
Proposals are being sought from qualified Contractors, specialized in Integrated Vegetation
Management Practices to provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and services for the
implementation of the Delaware Coastal Airport Integrated Vegetation Management Plan in
accordance with the Contract Documents.
Bidding Documents, including the Contract Documents, may be obtained in an electronic format
at no cost, or in hard copy for a charge of $25.00. Contact Ms. Kaycee Widen of the Sussex

The bid-bond/performance bond/payment bond/bid guarantee requirements are waived.
Federal or State scale wage rates are NOT applicable on this Project.
A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at 2:00 PM on July 29, 2026, in the North
Admin Conference Room, 3rd Floor, Sussex County Administration Office Building, 2 The Circle,
Georgetown, Delaware 19947, or remotely via Microsoft Teams (link below). Vendors may also

All questions must be submitted in writing to Ms. Kaycee Widen at kwiden@sussexcountyde.gov
no later than 4:00 pm on Wednesday, August 5, 2026.
If the responding Vendor deems any portion of its response to contain trade secrets, proprietary
or other confidential information, it shall isolate and identify in writing the confidential portions,
together with a statement in support of its designation as such. The submission shall be
confidential until the bid has been awarded and a contract has been executed. Thereafter, all
submissions shall be open to public inspection.
Sussex County reserves the right to extend the time and place of the bid opening on not less than
two (2) calendar days' notice by electronic means to those who have obtained copies of the
Contract Documents. Sussex County reserves the right to waive irregularities and reject any or
all bids.
