Description
The National Research Council Canada (NRC) has a requirement for the procurement of an integrated suite of automated photonic processing equipment (ISAPPE) with the following:
- One (1) Laser Diode Cleaving or Breaking System
- One (1) Diamond Scribing System
- One (1) Laser Diode Bar Testing System
- One (1) Laser Diode Unstacking and Optical Inspection System
- One (1) Laser Diode Bar Stacking
The Canadian photonics Fabrication Centre (CPFC) currently lacks adequate visual inspection capabilities. Success of the CPFC requires the confidence that any component manufactured and delivered has been visually inspected via high resolution optical imaging, and that good and bad components are sorted prior to delivery. The ISAPPE will provide detailed optical inspections capability, sample removal, preparation, pick and placement capability, full electro-optical characterization, automatic pattern/structure recognition for component singulation for scribe and break process and automatically align and cleave capabilities.
The system is to be delivered 180 days after contract award.
The estimated contract period will be 6 month(s), with a proposed start date of 2026/02/23.
