Description:

The City of Attleboro is issuing a Request for Proposals to qualified individuals to serve as an insurance Consultant. The selected consultant will be responsible for reviewing the City’s property and casualty insurance policies to evaluate coverage adequacy, identify potential gaps, and assess cost-effectiveness. A contract will be awarded to the proposer whose submission best meets the scope of services and qualifications outlined in this Request for Proposal and who agrees to the terms outlined in the sample contract provided.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications
Proposers must meet the following minimum requirements:
•        At least five (5) years of experience providing insurance consulting services to public entities
•        Ability to begin work immediately upon award; any anticipated delays in onboarding or availability must be disclosed in the proposal
•        Demonstrated familiarity with Massachusetts municipal insurance requirements
•        Experience evaluating coverage for specialized municipal assets such as zoos, dams, or water infrastructure
•        Capacity to provide timely, responsive service and attend in-person or virtual meetings as needed
•        Documented experience working with Massachusetts municipalities or other public entities
•        Possession of a valid Massachusetts Insurance Producer License or equivalent licensure appropriate to the scope of services
•        Professional designations such as Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), or Associate in Risk Management (ARM) are strongly preferred

Special Requirements:

Provide One original, One copy and one labeled thumbdrive of the proposal.
The Technical Proposal and the Price Proposal must be in separately sealed envelopes. Both envelopes may then be placed together in a single outer envelope for submission.
