Description:

The City of Monticello (“City”), Minnesota, is issuing this Request for Proposals (“RFP”) for insurance brokers (“Broker”) to act as the agent of record for a five (5) year period beginning on October 10, 2025. The City serves a population of 15,464 and employs approximately 63 full-time employees and 193 part-time and seasonal workers in a calendar year. The City provides a full range of municipal services consisting of contracted law enforcement, paid on-call fire protection, the construction and maintenance of infrastructure, a community center for recreation activities, park operations and maintenance, and general administrative services.

Qualifications:

The ideal Broker shall have extensive experience working with Minnesota municipalities. Selection will be at the sole judgment of the City.

Special Requirements:

Title page stating “City of Monticello RFP Insurance Agent of Record Services”; the Broker’s name; the name, address, email and telephone number of the contact person for the RFP; and the date of the proposal.

A signed letter of transmittal briefly stating the Broker’s understanding of the work to be done, the commitment to perform the work, a statement on why the Broker believes itself to be best qualified to perform the contract and a statement that the proposal is a firm and irrevocable offer for the five-year engagement.

Complete Broker Response Form to provide information on Broker qualifications, experience and expertise, services, fees, and references.

Incomplete proposals will not be considered.
