Contractor will provide personnel, management, tools, equipment, parts and materials, transportation and other items and services necessary to install an Intrusion Detection System (IDS) within the 5th Geospatial Planning Cell (GPC) area of operation; 140 Warner Road, Fort Shafter HI 96858, Building 441. The contractor shall perform in accordance with commercial practices.
Contractor will complete the following requirement(s) as stated below:
The IDS installation will be conducted by the contractor in accordance with Army Regulation requirements to include AR 380-5. The contractor will ensure alarms can be communicated with local Military Police. Secure doorways will be fitted with contact sensors, and interior motion detectors will be placed strategically to cover the entire building, using concealed wiring pathways where feasible.
To enhance security, the contractor will integrate tamper switches and duress alarm functionalities as required. All ICIDS panels and associated hardware will be installed in a tamper-resistant manner. The installation will be verified through an acceptance test, conducted by a government representative to ensure door contacts, motion sensors, and alarms function correctly. A detailed test report will be submitted for recordkeeping. Additionally, a certification letter from the manufacturer or an authorized installer will confirm the IDS meets all Army regulatory standards within AR 380-5.
The contractor will work under the direction of the 5th GPC’s technical staff and management. Contractor’s responsibilities will include providing up to 8 hours of work per day, along with requisite project management, as outlined in this scope of work. The contractor will be required to access Fort Shafter military installation. No travel reimbursement from the 5th GPC or USARPAC will be authorized for this service. Contractor personnel must adhere to current installation security policies and standards of conduct as established by the Installation Commander.
