NOTICE OF RECEIVING BIDS

FOR INMATE FOOD SERVICE

FOR THE PORTAGE COUNTY SHERIFF

SEALED BIDS will be received at the Office of the Portage County Internal Services

Director, Portage County Administration Bldg., 449 South Meridian St., Ravenna Ohio until

2:00 p.m., E.S.T. on March 5th, 2025, and at that time and place publicly opened and read

aloud for the above.

Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond with satisfactory surety or by a certified

check, cashier's check, or money order drawn on a solvent bank and payable to the Portage

County Board of Commissioners in the amount of five percent of the total amount bid

based on feeding up to 362 inmates per day for one year.

A mandatory in-person site visit will be held on Thursday, February 20th, 2025, at

12:30 p.m., EST in the lobby of the Portage County Sheriff’s Department, 8240

Infirmary Rd., Ravenna, OH 44266.

Services Director, County Admin. Bldg., 449 South Meridian St., Ravenna, Ohio or by

calling (330) 297-3611. This notice for bids can also be found on Portage County’s

website at: www.portagecounty-oh.gov under County bid notices.

Successful Bidder must comply with Equal Employment Requirements as specified in

Executive Orders 11246 and 11375.

The Commissioners reserve the right to reject any or all bids or any part thereof.
