Synopsis:
The 56th Contracting Squadron at Luke Air Force Base is hosting an Industry Day on 12 June 2025 to engage with industry partners and gather feedback on potential solutions for the Vehicle Barrier Maintenance requirement. The purpose of this event is to evaluate industry capabilities to support or improve our current maintenance contract for vehicle barriers, which are approximately 20 years old and experiencing degradation.
This Industry Day will serve as a market research initiative to explore:
- Viable replacement solutions for aging vehicle barrier infrastructure
- Upgrades to existing systems, including software or control systems
- Alternative contract structures that may offer improved sustainment, reliability, or cost-efficiency
- Technological innovations in physical security, intrusion deterrence, and active vehicle barrier systems
Objectives:
- Understand industry capabilities for maintaining or modernizing aging vehicle barrier systems.
- Explore potential product upgrades or full-system replacements to improve performance and safety.
- Identify service providers with experience in DoD or federal high-security entry systems.
- Gather feedback on our current contract structure to assess feasibility of alternative approaches (e.g., performance-based logistics, hybrid service/product models).
Who Should Attend:
Vendors, integrators, and manufacturers specializing in:
- Vehicle barrier systems
- Physical perimeter security infrastructure
- Preventive and corrective maintenance of electromechanical systems
- Industrial automation and software control upgrades
- Federal or military base entry point security
