1412096646 (IFB) South Shores Sub-Aqueous Force Main Armoring

The purpose of this solicitation for South Shores Sub-Aqueous Force Main Armoring (this "Solicitation") is to evaluate and select a vendor to provide construction services for Armoring of the forty-two-inch (42”) Force Main Crossing of the St Johns River at South Shores.

The scope of work specified herein includes installation of approximately 625 LF of armoring over the 42” subaqueous Ductile Iron Pipe (DIP) force main across St Johns River at locations where the cover over the pipe has been scoured away, exposing the pipe. Sand cement grout bags shall be used to fill any voids beneath the pipe. Articulated concrete block mattresses with non-shielding, non-abrasive pads will be placed over the exposed pipe for protection. Company divers will inspect the work and verify that the installation of the armoring is performed according to the contract drawings. (the "Work")
