IFB - 9416 - Shuman Juvenile Detention Center Roof Replacement

Project Description: Provide labor, materials, and equipment required to necessary to remove approximately 82,600 square feet of existing modified bitumen roofing systems, including associated materials and edge metal, down to the deck at flat roof areas as indicated. Remove existing roof penetrations and provide deck infill as required. Demolish the existing sloped skylight and provide new deck infill and structural supports. Install new tapered insulation and roofing assemblies at flat roof areas, and new flat insulation and roofing assemblies at approximately 6,000 square feet of steep-slope roof areas, as indicated. Provide a fully adhered EPDM roofing system with a 30-year warranty, including new edge metal systems at both flat and steep-slope roof areas. Demolish existing roof deck and install supplemental structural steel where indicated per the structural details. Provide cold-formed metal framing at skylight curbs and install new skylight assemblies. Design, furnish, and install a complete solar photovoltaic (PV) system, including all electrical components and racking, in the areas indicated on the contract documents. Provide new electrical utility service to tie the PV system into the utility grid. Coordination with Duquesne Light Company is required.
