Huntsville Utilities Advertisement for Bid
Huntsville Utilities in Huntsville, Alabama is seeking bids for the below-mentioned project located in Huntsville,
Alabama. Sealed bids will be received by the City of Huntsville, a municipal corporation within the State of Alabama,
d/b/a/ Huntsville Utilities, by mail, at P.O. Box 2048, Huntsville, AL, 35804, or personal delivery, at the bid opening
location listed below. IFB Number, Project Name, Contractor's name, and Alabama Contractor's License number
must be printed on the outside of each sealed bid. Bidder instructions, including pre-bid meeting and contractor
questionnaire details, are provided in the bid documents. As part of the bidding process, attendance at the Prebid
meeting is considered mandatory. E-mail the Contract Administrator for a copy of the bid packet. The contractor
shall furnish all supervision, labor, materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and transportation necessary to perform
the construction called for under this contract in a timely, safe, and professional manner.
Bids will be accepted only from qualified General Contractors licensed prior to the bid opening by the State of
Alabama. A cashier's check or a bid bond payable to the City of Huntsville, Alabama, d/b/a/ Huntsville Utilities for an
amount not less than 5% of the contractor's bid, but in no event more than $10,000.00, will be required to
accompany each bid. A performance bond, a payment bond, a maintenance bond, and insurance will be required
prior to execution of the contract. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids
for a period of ninety (90) days.
