IFB # 2059-03 Mechanical Ventilation of Units and Window Replacement at Franklin Field Development

Note: only prequalified filed sub-contractors and prequalified general contractors from BHA RFQ No. 2059-02 are eligible to bid for this BHA IFB No. 2059-03.

The Boston Housing Authority (BHA) invites sealed bids for Mechanical Ventilation of Units and Window Replacement at Franklin Field Development, BHA Job # 2059-03, prepared by Garofalo Design Associates, Inc. The total construction cost is estimated at $10,458,069. Bids will be received and publicly opened at the BHA's Procurement Department, 52 Chauncy Street, 6th floor, Boston, MA, 02111. If bidders are to hand-deliver bids, please drop off bids at the Bids/Proposals Drop-Off Box in the lobby of 56 Chauncy Street.

Bids not received by the following times will be rejected:

Filed sub-bid applies to 1) Waterproofing estimated $340,200; 2) Painting estimated $372,965; 3) HVAC estimated $276,855; and 4) Electrical estimated $340,502.

The general bid must be DCAMM certified in General Building Construction, and include a 5% bid deposit. The successful general bidder must furnish 100% Performance and Payment Bonds. All bids are subject to MGL c. 149, Sections 44A-J.

Wages are subject to minimum wage rates set by the US Department of Labor. All general and filed sub-bidders must follow the BHA's Minority and Women Participation Provision and Resident Employment Provision.
