IFB # 2056-03 Mechanical Ventilation of Units and Window Replacement at Ruth Barkley Development

The Boston Housing Authority (BHA) invites sealed bids for Mechanical Ventilation of Units and Window Replacement at Ruth Barkley Development, BHA Job # 2056-03, prepared by Winslow Architects, Inc. The total construction cost is estimated at $13,094,283. Bids will be received and publicly opened at the BHA's Procurement Department, 52 Chauncy Street, 6th floor, Boston, MA, 02111. If bidders are to hand-deliver bids, please drop off bids at the Bids/Proposals Drop-Off Box in the lobby of 56 Chauncy Street.

Bids not received by the following times will be rejected:

Filed sub-bid applies to 1) Painting estimated $322,281; 2) HVAC estimated $2,263,779; and 3) Electrical estimated $369,675.

The general bid must be DCAMM certified in General Building Construction, and include a 5% bid deposit. The successful general bidder must furnish 100% Performance and Payment Bonds. All bids are subject to MGL c. 149, Sections 44A-J.

Wages are subject to minimum wage rates set by the US Department of Labor. All general and filed sub-bidders must follow the BHA's Minority and Women Participation Provision and Resident Employment Provision.

All bidders should attend the site visit at 12:00 noon on October 23, 2024, at Ruth Barkley Development, 1472 Washington Street, South End, Boston, MA 02118.
