Statement of Work
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
Pre-Construction Meeting held at the Kitsap County Parks Department Office - 1195 NW
Fairgrounds Rd, Bremerton, WA. This meeting will include coordination with the county for
Technical Submittals.
Technical Submittals, which may be informal so long as they are documented in Procore
Construction Management Software (preferred), email, email attachment, or on paper. The notes
from the Pre-Construction Meeting may be utilized, including direct copy-paste. Technical
Submittals require county acknowledgement, not approval:
Communications Plan for passive (temporary traffic control), routine, and urgent
communication. Closures and detours may be explained in text but ideally would be sketched
to aid in coordination for simultaneous fairground use and maintenance. Explain delineation for
all closures and detours. Routine communication must include a weekly construction status
update email unless coordinated with county inspector during pre-construction meeting.
Kitsap Parks, Kitsap Construction/Project Management, and the Contractor will provide
contacts for urgent communications. The Communications Plan is expected to be about 1
paragraph long plus contact information and potentially include a sketch.
Site-Specific Safety Plan, which may reference policy documents. The purpose is to identify
hazards and mitigation. Acknowledge the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worn onsite.
Acknowledge any safety equipment or references maintained onsite. Identify safety officer or
other responsible person(s) onsite. The Site-Specific Safety Plan is expected to be about 0.5
paragraphs long and potentially include a policy document.
Temporary Control Plan, which may reference policy documents. The purpose is to identify
temporary conditions and mitigation. Identify any construction needs and provisions
coordinated with the county for power and water. Identify any closures for staging, temporary
toilet facilities, and refuse containment. Identify procedures to contain infill and protect
surrounding pervious pavement from debris. Acknowledge all construction debris will be
removed from the site by the contractor and identify disposal method(s). The Temporary Control
Plan is expected to be about 1-2 paragraphs long and potentially include a sketch.
Construction Progress Schedule as coordinated at Pre-Construction Meeting. Identify start
date, dates of closure of field, and projected date of final inspection. The Construction Progress
Schedule is expected to be about 0.5 paragraphs long if not presented graphically.
Material Submittals, as published by the manufacturer.

Synthetic Turf Material Specifications, which may have been approved in the bidding process.
Synthetic Turf Warranty, minimum 12-years.
Synthetic Turf Maintenance Documentation, including routine maintenance and repair
procedures.
Soccer Goal & Soccer Goal Anchor Specifications, including enough information to order
replacement netting.
Soccer Goal & Soccer Goal Anchor Maintenance Documentation, including routine
maintenance and repair procedures.
Shop Drawing Submittals, which may be formal shop drawings, informal sketches, or
manufacturer's details so long as they are documented in Procore Construction Management
Software (preferred), email, email attachment, or on paper. Include instructions for use including a
list of tools necessary to remove or reset turf covers.
Synthetic Turf Cover at Catch Basin, which must be removable for maintenance of drainage
system.
Synthetic Turf Cover at Soccer Goal Anchor, which must be removable when anchor is in use.
CONSTRUCTION
Demolition
Synthetic Turf: Remove existing turf, infill, and fabric/barriers above leveling stone. Protect
surrounding areas including pervious pavements from infill debris. See Detail 7, Sheet C4.1 in
2011 Gordon Field Synthetic Turf - Phase 1.
Plywood Cover: Remove plywood cover of Synthetic Turf Cover at Catch Basin (CB). Retain for
inspection if Contractor intends reuse. Inform county immediately if solid CB cover is damaged.

Soccer Goal Anchors: Remove two (2) Soccer Goal Anchors if Contractor does not intend
reuse. Retain for inspection if Contractor intends reuse. See Detail 21, Sheet C4.3 in 2011

Synthetic Turf
Leveling Top Stone: regrade as needed.
Synthetic Turf Specifications: PIVOT 1.25 by Tencate or approved equivalent. All turf material
proposed as an equivalent must be reviewed in the questions portion of the bidding process.
Any approved equivalent will require no infill, include white/yellow fibers for lines, and include a
12-year minimum warranty.
Synthetic Turf Installation: Install all components according to manufacturer's instructions.
Field markings must be permanent with white and yellow fibers matching properties of the
green field turf. See attached 2026 Gordon Field #1 Line Layout Sketch.
Synthetic Turf Cover at Catch Basin (CB): Provide one (1) synthetic turf cover for the existing
catch basin. The cover must be removable for maintenance of the storm system but provide the
same functionality as the surrounding turf when in place. See Detail 6, Sheet C3.1 in 2011
Gordon Field Synthetic Turf - Phase 1. Submit shop drawing, sketch, or manufacturer's detail
explaining how users will cover CB for field use.
Synthetic Turf Cover at Soccer Goal Anchor: Provide two (2) synthetic turf covers for soccer
goal anchors. The covers must be removable for use of the anchor but provide the same
functionality as the surrounding turf when in place. See Detail 21, Sheet C4.3 in 2011 Gordon
Field Synthetic Turf - Phase 1. Submit shop drawing, sketch, or manufacturer's detail explaining
how users will cover anchors for field use.
Soccer Goals and Anchors
Soccer Goals: Provide two (2) portable 8-foot by 8-foot by 24-foot soccer goals.
Soccer Goal Anchors: Install two (2) soccer goal anchors compatible with portable soccer
goals. Alternatively, protect existing soccer goal anchors if retained for reuse.
