IFB#FPC-25-11 UAA Residential Campus Roof Repair

Electronically submitted bids, in single copy, for UAA Residential Campus Roof Repair, will be received by the University of Alaska Anchorage, Facilities Planning and Construction until December 3, 2024 at 2:00 pm on Bid Expressat which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud via teleconference toll-free number, 1-866-832-7806 PIN 9120787.

General Work Description:
In accordance with the attached design document, provide all labor, materials, and equipment to conduct the truss repairs of the residential campus.

Additional Scope:
Include the removal and replacement of existing roof insulation. New roof insulation to comply with UAA Design Standards and should target R-38 or greater insulation or insulation that meets the 2018 edition of the International Energy Conservation Code (ICC).

*Note: Work will be constructed under a Time and Expense – Not to Exceed (T&E NTE) basis. *

A pre-bid conference will be conducted followed by onsite walkthrough of the project location will take place on November 15, 2024 at 10:00 AM outside of MAC 1, 3550 Sharon Gagnon Lane, Anchorage, AK 99508. As-Builts available upon request.

All bids must be accompanied by a bid bond provided by a surety authorized to do business in the State of Alaska on a form provided herein, or a cashier’s check.  Bid security must be in an amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the maximum amount of the bid.

Complete bidding documents for this project are available in electronic form.  They may be viewed online and downloaded without charge and without deposit from Bid Express.

Bidders must register through the web site to be notified of addenda.  Bid documents are not available from the Architect or the Owner, but they may be obtained from most plan rooms and reprographic firms for a fee.  Printed copies may be ordered from reprographic companies through the website or by contacting a reprographer directly.

Downloaded files may be printed on the plan holder’s equipment.  Plan holders are responsible for their own reproduction costs. Addenda to the project will be posted on the website.  The bidder is responsible for periodically checking the site.  The Contractor that is awarded the project will be responsible for printing all documents necessary for performing the work.

Prime Bidders, Sub Contractors and Suppliers obtaining bid documents are cautioned not to obtain partial or incomplete sets of bid documents (drawings and specifications) for the purposes of bidding.  It is the responsibility of the bidder(s) to ensure that complete sets of bid documents as posted on Bid Express are obtained.  Neither the Owner nor the Architect shall be held responsible for errors in downloading or the printing of incomplete sets of documents by the bidder(s).
