IFB #25-003 Cottage Street Electrification Phase 2

The Pioneer Valley Transit Authority (PVTA) is seeking bids from prequalified General Contract (GC) and Filed-Sub-Bid (FSB) subcontract firms for services relating to the construction of a new 50,000 (+/-) square-foot
addition to its Bus O&M Facility at 665 Cottage Street, Springfield, MA 01104 for a new paint and body
preparation shop, additional indoor bus storage for 32 fixed-route buses, and installation of 20 pantograph electric
bus chargers.

Bids will only be accepted from prequalified firms. GC firms—and FSB firms in the categories of Masonry;
Miscellaneous Metals and Ornamental Iron; Waterproofing, Dampproofing, and Caulking; Roofing and
Flashing; Metal Windows; Painting; Fire Protection and Sprinkler Systems; Plumbing; HVAC; and
Electrical—are permitted to seek prequalification up to the bid due date by requesting a prequalification
packet from: LZak@pvta.com

at 413.732.6248 Ext. 2210 or emailing to: LZak@pvta.com. An optional pre-bid meeting will be held at 12:30
PM EST on January 23, 2025, 665 Cottage Street, Springfield, MA 01104 to outline requirements and building
layouts, and to provide the opportunity for questions and explanations. The final date to submit questions and
requests for clarification in advance of the FSB bid is January 30, 2025 at 5:00 PM EST. The final date to
submit questions and requests for clarification in advance of the GC bid is February 18, 2025 at 5:00 PM EST.

Hard copy, sealed bids shall be submitted to the attention of Leland Zak, Procurement Officer, Pioneer Valley
Transit Authority, 2808 Main Street, Springfield, MA 01107. FSB bids are due on or before February 11, 2025
at 2:00 PM EST. GC bids are due on or before February 25, 2025 at 2:00 PM EST. Bids received after the
deadline will not be considered and will be returned to the Bidder unopened. Any changes, or any requests for
changes in the specifications, will not be recognized after sealed bids are submitted to PVTA. Both bids will have
public openings.
