IFB Coastal Plant Propagation, Mendocino and Sonoma County

Contractor agrees to provide the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) all expertise, labor, tools, equipment, supplies, personnel safety gear, safety training, and incidentals necessary to perform the collection of plant material for propagating and growing a total of 725 native California ¿container plants¿ (hereafter referred to as container stock or container plants).

Services shall be performed by Contractor within the collection area and at Contractor¿s facility after collection and prior to delivery. In this context "deliver/delivery¿ means to provide the container stock as defined in this Agreement. Caltrans will be responsible for picking up the plants from Contractor¿s facility when they are ready.

The location of the Contractor¿s facility shall be within the geographic jurisdiction of one (1) of the following northern California Counties: Alameda, Contra Costa, Humboldt, Lake, Marin, Mendocino, Monterey, Napa, San Benito, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Solano, or Sonoma.

Plant material used in the propagation of container stock shall be collected from Sonoma and/or Mendocino counties within five (5) miles of the coast (parts of Seed Zones 094 and 095) as defined in the attached map titled Attachment B, Collection Area Map, and as close to the project locations as possible, see Attachment A, Project Location Map.
