Buffalo Water Tank Rehabilitation

Sealed Bids for the construction of the Buffalo Water Tank Rehabilitation will be received, by the Town of Christiansburg at the office of the Procurement Officer at 100 East Main Street, Christiansburg, VA 24073, until 3:00 pm local time on June 17, 2025, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Project consists of rehabilitation of a 1.5 MG ground water storage tank, including structural roof repairs, ventilation improvements, addition of a new 36” manhole, repainting, valve replacement, addition of a mixing system, and all associated appurtenances. A deductive alternate consists of the use of an alternative paint system for interior repainting. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price basis.

Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 9:00 AM-5:00 PM and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below.

A pre-bid conference will be held at 3:00 PM local time on May 27, 2025 at the Christiansburg Town Hall, Admin Conference Room, 100 East Main Street, Christiansburg, VA 24073. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is highly encouraged but is not mandatory. To join the meeting virtually, please request an invite from the project contact.
Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
If bids are hand delivered or mailed, they must be delivered to the Town of Christiansburg Purchasing Office,100 East Main Street, Christiansburg, VA 24073. It is the bidder’s responsibility to confirm that all bids are received by the Town’s Procurement Officer prior to the time stated above. Sealed bids should returned in a sealed envelope clearly marked. “Bid Response for IFB245000013, Buffalo Water Tank Rehabilitation” and addressed to Tara Vance, Procurement Officer. The bidder’s name should be clearly marked on the outside of the envelope.

The procedure for withdrawal of bids shall be in accordance with procedure (i) of Section 2.2 - 4330 of the Code of Virginia
