The Douglasville ¿ Douglas County Water and Sewer Authority (the ¿Authority¿) is soliciting competitive sealed bids from qualified contractors for the performance of the Ashworth Sewer Line Replacement (the ¿Project¿), as more fully described in the Invitation for Bids. The scope of work includes the provision by the bidder or contractor of all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, and supplies necessary to complete the work. The Project will be ¿turnkey¿ and require minimal involvement of Authority personnel.

The work to be performed shall include: the replacement of approximately 780 linear feet of existing 8-inch DIP sewer line with 8-inch PVC/HDPE by open cut/pipe bursting on Bomar Road/ Chapel Hills Golf Course, replacement of approximately 2,630 linear feet of existing 8-inch DIP sewer line with 12-inch PVC/HDPE by open cut/pipe bursting on Chapel Hills Golf Course, removal/replacement of nine (9) taps and service laterals on the sewer line, restoration of five (5) manholes to their original thickness, corrosion protection provision for the manholes through application of a corrosion-resistant epoxy liner, and provision of project as-built drawings.

All work will be performed within Authority easements and/or inside public right-of-way. All anticipated rights-of-way and easements required for the Project have been obtained. All anticipated federal, state, and local permits required for the Project have been obtained.
