Listing Information/Advertisement
The objective of this contract is to provide water quality improvements, enhancement and restoration of wetland habitat and natural systems, flood protection and flood damage repairs and associated site work improvements to complement these features.
It is the District’s intention to award contracts with at least two (2) contractors under this Invitation For Bids. To date, the District has issued 41 work orders over the last three years for an estimated amount of $4.0 million with a range of work orders between $15,000 and $300,000. Under the new contract(s) issued, the District does not expect to issue work orders that exceed $300,000. If an award is made, a Contract shall be executed for a term of three years. The estimated total budget for all work over the first three (3) years of the contract(s) is $4,950,000. The estimated budget for the first year of this contract is $1,300,000; however, the actual amount will vary depending on District needs. Funding is contingent upon the availability of funds for each fiscal year.
All work under this contract shall be performed through Work Orders. There are two types of Work Orders (Type 1/Time and Materials and Type 2/Fixed Price). The District will determine the type of Work Order to be issued for each project. The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to complete all tasks described in the Work Order. The District reserves the right to purchase and provide the Contractor with all or part of any materials or equipment to be incorporated in the work via direct purchase, independently of the Work Order. In addition, the District may supplement the Contractor’s workforce with District equipment/staff.
Prior to award of each Work Order, the selected Contractor shall, if requested, provide a written statement of availability of the equipment and labor necessary to perform the work identified. The District reserves the right to award each Work Order based on the ability to perform in a timely manner, availability of required equipment, cost of required equipment, past performance on similar work, availability of qualified staff, and other factors deemed critical to the performance of the Work.
