Bid Description:
The Greater Upper Valley Solid Waste Management District (the “District”) is issuing this Request for Interest (RFI) to identify qualified and experienced firms interested in partnering with the District to expand its solid waste operations. This initiative focuses primarily on enhancing the District’s existing composting and organic waste management capabilities at its Quarry Road facility in North Hartland, Vermont. Additionally, the District is open to proposals that incorporate other solid waste services, provided they align with the District’s Charter and applicable local and regional planning plan.

Site Visit:	Date: 10/10/2025 10:00:00 AM	Mandatory Site Visit
Directions: -Heading south from White River Junction on Rt. 5, pass the Hartford Recycling Center and Transfer Station (which will be on your left). -Continue for another ¼ mile and Quarry Rd will be on your left (it is across from a motel, South on Five). -Here is the google street address for the turn: 2868 US-5 (The intersection is in Hartford) - The facility is located at the end of Quarry Rd (in N. Hartland). Stay to the right when nearing the end of the road, to the left is a Twin State Gravel pit. (lots of large trucks on the road). -There should be enough space for parking to the right side as you pull in. The transfer station will be ahead and the compost site will be a hard right. When you park, stay off the gravel roads since there may be trucks moving material at the site.
