Project Lenth: 29.7 Miles

Estimated Price Range: $10,000,000 and $20,000,000

National Forest System Road (NFSR) 221 is located within the Nez Perce Clearwater Lower Salmon landscape. The road is known locally as the Grangeville - Salmon Road providing crucial public and administrative access to the Forest on the Salmon River Ranger District. The route within Forest Service jurisdiction and consists of flexible pavement surfacing.

This project will preserve and rehabilitate the pavement surfacing on National Forest Service Road (NFSR) 221.

The project begins at approximate Milepost (MP) 6.8 and ending at approximate MP 34.3. This project is located at approximate coordinates 45.8599 N, -116.0790 W.

Project scope includes:

• Rehabilitation of the existing flexible pavement surface


• Culvert replacements


• Shoulder repair including slumps and minor slides
