Project Bid Received By & Opening Information: NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that electronic proposals will be received online only , until 1:00 P.M., on Friday, November 22, 2024, through the City of Burnsville’s online electronic bid system (QuestCDN). At that time, representatives of the City of Burnsville will open the bids publicly and post the results.
Pre-Bid Meeting Info: There is a pre-bid conference for bidders, which is scheduled for 11:00 AM, November 18, 2024 at the Burnsville Ice Center, 251 Civic Center Pkwy, Burnsville, MN 55337. The pre-bid conference is not mandatory, but interested bidders are encouraged to attend.

Description: Said proposals for the furnishing of all labor and materials for the construction, complete in-place, of the following work:

  • Remove existing gas fired boilers (6 total) along with ancillary piping, controls, breeching, expansion tank, and pumps.
  • Remove existing gas fired water heater along with ancillary piping, controls, breeching/stack, and pump.
  • Remove existing combustion fan and associated ductwork, and controls.
  • Provide three (3) new high efficiency gas fired boilers along with ancillary piping, controls, flue and combustion air piping, and boiler pumps.
  • Provide one (1) new high efficiency gas fired water heater along with ancillary piping, controls, flue and combustion air piping and pump.
  • Incorporate new boilers and pumps into facility building automation system.

Bidders can also view the Contract Documents at either website free of charge.

    For this project we will accept only online electronic bids through QuestCDN. Instructions for online bidding are included in the Project Specifications. For electronic bids, electronic bid bonds will also be accepted through Surety 2000 using project # 9278596. The bid bonds must be payable to the City of Burnsville in the amount of five percent (5%) of the amount of bid, to be forfeited as liquidated damages in the event that the bid is accepted and the bidder shall fail to promptly enter into a written contract and furnish the required bond.

    The City of Burnsville reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to award the bid in the best interest of the City. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days.

    The Council will consider such bids in the Council Chambers at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 17, 2024.
