I & M CANAL OUTFALL IMPROVEMENTS

(23-1021)

The City of Lockport will receive sealed bids for improvements at multiple outfalls along the I & M Canal in Lockport, IL and includes but is not limited the removal of sections of existing outfalls, placement of reinforced concrete end sections, placement of rip rap at various outfall locations, applicable project restoration and all incidental and collateral work necessary to complete the project all in accordance with the Specifications and Contract Documents for the I & M Canal Outfall Improvements (23-1021). Prospective bidders are advised to carefully review the Plan, General Conditions, Special Conditions, Special Provisions, and Details of this document.

BEP participation requirements are required and shall be followed per the bidding documents.

Prequalification: Prequalification by IDOT will be required of all contractors and subcontractors on this project in the respective discipline(s) they will be responsible for constructing.

Obtaining Bid Documents: Plans can be viewed online on the City of Lockport’s website. The Bidding Documents can be obtained from the City of Lockport. Prospective bidders shall e-mail Daniel Powers at dpowers@lockport.org requesting the documents. At this time, IDOT Prequalification Forms shall be submitted as well.

Bids will be received until Friday, March 6, 2026, at 10:30 A.M. local time, at which time all bids will be publicly opened and read.?The bid opening will be held at the City of Lockport City Hall, third floor, City Clerk’s Office, 222 E. 9 ^th Street, Lockport, IL 60441. All bids must be received prior to the date and time shown above. Bids transmitted by facsimile or email will not be accepted.

Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope addressed to the City of Lockport, City Clerk, 222 E. 9 ^th Street, Lockport, IL 60441 and marked to indicate the following:
