Description

The contractor will provide services for offloading, transport, and final disposal or reprocessing of existing TEP 2190 and 2075 TH external hydraulic system oil from the ship via shipyard provided hoses. Storage and disposal shall be in accordance with Federal EPA and State of Connecticut regulations. Note that reprocessed, reclaimed, or recycled oil is not acceptable for submarine use. The estimated oil volume to be disposed of is 4500 gallons of TEP 2190- and 500-gallons of 2075 TH. Contractor operating procedures are subject to review by the Shipyard Occupational and Health Office, Code 106.
