Hwy 175 Utility Relocates

ADVERTISEMENT AND INVITATION FOR BIDS

The City of Jacksonville will receive sealed bids for Hwy 175 Utility Relocates. Bids will be

received until 2:00 pm on Monday, November 4th, 2024, at City of Jacksonville, 315 South

Ragsdale Street, Jacksonville, TX 75766. The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud

at 2:00 pm on Monday, November 4th, 2024, at City of Jacksonville, 315 South Ragsdale

Street, Jacksonville, TX 75766. Bids received after 2:00 pm will be returned, unopened.

Bid/Contract Documents, including Drawings and Technical Specifications, are on file at

Schaumburg & Polk, Inc., 320 S Broadway Ave, Suite 200, Tyler, TX 75702, and at the City

of Jacksonville, 315 South Ragsdale Street, Jacksonville, TX 75766.

PLANS & SPECIFICATIONS may be examined without charge at Jacksonville City Hall.

Bid forms and plans may be examined or obtained at the office of Schaumburg & Polk, Inc.,

320 S. Broadway Ave, Suite 200, Tyler, Texas 75702. One copy of each set of documents

may be obtained from Schaumburg & Polk, Inc., upon payment of $ 100. No refunds will be

made. Plans can also be found online at www.civcastusa.com .

A Bidder’s Bond, Certified or Cashier’s Check in an amount not less than (5%) of the total

bid shall accompany each bid as a guarantee that, if awarded the contract, the bidder will

promptly enter into contract with the City of Jacksonville, Texas.

This project will include approximately 3,367 LF of 8” waterline, 1,475 LF of 2” waterline

1,758 LF of sewer lines, gate valves, manholes, water and sewer service connections, and

removal and grouting of existing water and sewer lines.

The project is to be substantially complete within 270 calendar days from the notice to

proceed, and shall be fully complete within 270 calendar days from the notice to proceed.

Notice to proceed date is anticipated as 12-1-24. Liquidated damages of $300.00 per day

shall be assessed for any days in which contract time is exceeded.

No bidder may withdraw his bid within ninety (90) days after the actual date of the opening

thereof.

The City of Jacksonville reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
