Salient Characteristics
HVAC Cooling Chassis Units
Columbia VA Medical Center
1. Requirement Overview

The Government requires the purchase of twenty (20) HVAC cooling chassis units to support existing wall-mounted HVAC systems at the Columbia VA Medical Center.

This is a supply-only requirement. Installation will be performed by VA Engineering staff.

2. Brand Name Requirement

The Government requires:

Islandaire EZ15A7KFA1K14AB Cooling Chassis Units

This is a Brand Name Only requirement.

No substitutions or equal products will be accepted due to compatibility requirements with existing installed equipment and wall sleeve systems.

3. Minimum Technical Requirements

The equipment shall meet the following minimum characteristics:

Cooling Capacity: 14,500 BTU Â
Voltage: 277V Â
Electrical Requirements: Compatible with existing facility power infrastructure Â
Heating: No additional electric heat required; unit must be compatible with existing hot water coil heating configuration currently installed at the facility Â
Configuration: Cooling chassis designed for existing wall sleeve installation Â
Compatibility: Must fully integrate with existing Islandaire wall sleeve systems currently installed at Columbia VA Medical Center Â
Infrastructure: Units shall require no modification to existing HVAC infrastructure or wall sleeve assemblies Â
Construction: Commercial-grade HVAC unit suitable for institutional use Â
Condition: New equipment only; refurbished or used equipment will not be accepted Â

4. Compatibility Requirements

The units must:

Integrate directly into existing HVAC wall sleeve systems Â
Maintain compatibility with the existing heating and cooling operational configuration currently utilized by the facility Â
Maintain operational continuity with existing installed equipment Â
Require no modification, adapters, redesign, or alterations to existing infrastructure Â

Products requiring redesign or modification to existing systems will not be accepted.

5. Delivery Requirements

Quantity: 20 Each Â
Delivery Location: Columbia VA Medical Center Â
Delivery Timeline: 6 8 Weeks After Receipt of Order (ARO)

6. Warranty

The contractor shall provide:

Standard manufacturer warranty Â
Warranty documentation at time of delivery
