HURRICANE IAN REVETMENT REPAIRS AT CENTENNIAL FISHING PIER
Quoters are hereby notified that this Addendum shall be made a part of the above-named quote documents. The following
items are issued to add to, modify, and clarify the quote documents. These items shall have the same force and effect as the
original quote documents. Quote Forms, to be submitted on the specified date, shall conform with the additions, deletions and
revisions listed herein
ITEM #1: QUESTIONS/ANSWERS
Q1: Under scope of services, it states "Replace geotextile fabric". Is the Contractor required to remove the existing
fabric in these areas before installing new?
A1: Yes, the existing fabric will have to be removed before installing new.
Q2: Is the Contractor required to remove current rip rap and other rock in these areas to a certain depth before installing
the 12" base layer?
A2: The base will need to be excavated to meet existing grade. There is some rip rap that will need to be removed and set to
the side but can be reused along with the new added rip rap.
Q3: Will the new fabric be installed at a minimum depth after these materials have been excavated?
A3: The geotextile will be added under the new base layer at a depth of 12”. Most of the existing fabric is exposed already under
the rip rap.
Quoters are required to acknowledge receipt of this addendum on their quote forms. All other terms and conditions of the
original bidding and contract documents remain the same.
